Wexford is located on the South-East coast of Ireland.
We are approximately:
2 hours from Dublin Airport
2.5 hours from Cork Airport
20 minutes from Rosslare Europort (ferry)
Please contact us or email info@languageireland.ie for a copy of our enrolment form.
A completed enrolment form is required to secure your place, and a deposit of €250 is due 30 days before arrival.
We will then send you an invoice for the rest of the payment prior to the expected arrival date.
All our teachers have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and are certified TEFL teachers with experience teaching all ages and abilities. Many also teach in Irish schools during the school year and join us for the summer months.
We offer classes at all CEFR levels from A2 to C1+.
However, the programme is not suitable for complete beginners.
For more information of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) please see the official Council of Europe guide here.
If you are unsure if your child is ready for the programme please feel free to contact us and a member of our academic team would be happy to discuss this with you.
We do not have a minimum duration for bookings. However, we recommend a stay of at least 2 weeks to allow the student to settle in and get the maximum possible benefit from their stay with us.
For our Summer 2026 Programme:
1% of students stayed for 1 week
38% of students stayed for 2 weeks
29% of students stayed for 3 weeks
31% of students stayed for 4 weeks
Our course fees are all-inclusive and there are no hidden extras. This includes all meals, transport, excursions, activities and class/writing materials. Students should only need a small amount of pocket money for personal use (treats, souvenirs etc) if desired.
Cancelling a booking with less than 14 days’ notice will usually result in loss of €250 deposit.
Any other course fees paid will be refunded to you ASAP and always within 7 working days.
Our full cancellation/refund policy is available here.
We accept payment by direct bank transfer, or by credit/debit card through Stripe (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).
We do not accept cash payments.
We send regular updates to the parents of all our youth students, including photographs and activity timetables, especially during the first few days. Parents have a designated member of school staff so they’re always speaking with the same person. We also have an emergency number which is monitored by senior management 24/7.
We can meet students in Dublin Airport and bring them to Wexford by private bus or car. This is an optional extra and costs €150 each way. (This can be shared if multiple flights are arriving/departing at similar times, and we can advise on this at enrolment.)
For groups of 15+ students arriving/departing together this service is free of charge.
A regular public bus service operates between Wexford and Dublin Airport and we can offer advice on this if needed.
Our host families have experience dealing with a range of allergies and dietary needs. Please be sure to give all necessary information when filling out the enrolment form.
Depending on the level of extra care required, a special diet supplement of up to €30 may apply.
Students should organise their own travel insurance before arriving in Ireland. If you are an EU/EEA/Swiss resident, please make sure to bring your EHIC/E111 card.
If a student requires medical attention we will arrange for them to visit a doctor or hospital. Wexford General Hospital is just a few minutes’ drive from the school and all host family homes, and a 24 hour doctor service is available in the town.
A member of management will accompany the student to all appointments, arrange the collection of any medications prescribed, and ensure any medical advice is followed. We will consult with parents at all times.
Unlike many other European countries, it is not necessary to carry identification cards everywhere while in Ireland. We strongly recommend students leave their passport/ID cards in their host family’s home. We will provide a school ID card to all students when they arrive in Wexford.
Yes, we offer reduced rates for groups. Please contact us for more details.
We can also organise tailor-made courses for groups of 15 students or more. Contact us with your group’s needs and requests and we would be happy to send you a no-obligation quote.
Of course, just let us know when booking.
Please note, in line with our Child Safeguarding procedures the address of the accommodation and contact details for the relevant responsible adult must be provided during enrolment.
We aim to have a balance of nationalities/native languages, to ensure students speak as much English as possible during their stay with us.
For our Summer 2026 Programme the average weekly nationality breakdown was:
Italian 30% Spanish 68% French 2%
